The Food & Drugs Administration Department has announced 29 exciting vacancies for highly qualified individuals in various scientific roles. Here are the details of the available positions:

Category No: 273 - Chemist

Total Posts: 16 (Gen-7, SC-3, BCA-1, BCB-1, EWS-2, ESM-SC-1, ESM-BCA-1)

Pay Scale: Level-6

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, Food and Drug Technology, or a postgraduate degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a recognized university. Alternatively, candidates with qualifications from the Institute of Chemists (India) by examination in the analysis of food or drugs section are eligible.

Category No: 274 - Junior Scientific Officer

Total Posts: 2 (SC-1, BCA-1)

Pay Scale: Level-6

Qualifications: M.Sc. with a minimum of 50% marks in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, Food and Drug Technology, or a postgraduate degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a recognized university. Alternatively, candidates with qualifications from the Institute of Chemists (India) by examination in the analysis of food or drugs section are eligible.

Selection Criteria, Examination & Syllabus:

In line with the Hon’ble High Court judgment dated 31.05.2024 in LPA No. 1037/2023, the weightage of socio-economic marks (2.5%) has been removed. The examination pattern is as follows:

Examination Format: 

Offline (OMR-based) written examination for Group-C posts.

Question Paper: 

Bilingual (English & Hindi), with all questions being compulsory.

Number of Question 

100 questions, each carrying a weightage of 0.975 marks.

Negative Marking:

 No negative marking for wrong answers.

Unattempted Questions:

 0.975 marks will be deducted for each unattempted question.

Extra Time: Additional five minutes will be given to mark the fifth option if the candidate does not know the answer.

Total Time: 

105 minutes (including the extra five minutes).
