In a concerning development, the sewer lines in our local community are facing severe blockages due to improper garbage disposal practices. Residents have reported that waste from buildings is being collected and discarded on the side of the buildings without the use of bags or containers. This careless disposal method has resulted in garbage clogging the sewer system, 

particularly during rainfall when the trash gets washed into the sewers, causing significant blockages.

The accumulation of waste, including organic material and fur, mixes with rainwater, leading to the entire sewer line becoming blocked. As a result, water has no way to flow through, causing further sanitation issues. When garbage trucks arrive to collect the waste, they often fail to enter the narrow streets, leaving much of the garbage uncollected and creating opportunities for scavengers.

This situation is especially concerning given the proximity of a Rafiqua English & Urdu Primary/ Secondry high school, forcing students and staff to navigate through these unsanitary conditions daily. 

Moreover, recent cleaning efforts reveal that sanitation workers are operating without proper protective gear, including gloves and shoes, posing serious health risks to themselves and the community.

Local authorities need to address this urgent matter by enforcing proper garbage disposal regulations, ensuring regular and thorough waste collection, and providing adequate protective equipment for sanitation workers. Community awareness and cooperation are essential to resolve these ongoing health and environmental issues
